Welcome to the Business Office
The month of May, when much of the northern hemisphere welcomes spring; here in the business office we present the tentative budgets for the coming fiscal year. Wyoming Statutes 16-4-104(a) requires most government entities to present their budgets to the governing body on or before May 15th of each year. At SCSD#1 we work to have our tentative budgets as complete as possible. We present our tentative budgets with full detail; complete as much as possible and not a summary as some entities are known to do. We work to provide the detail now so all interested parties can see a complete picture of the resources and expected expenditures for the coming fiscal year.
We welcome all interested parties to click the Documents link and then Budgets to find this tentative budget and budgets for prior years as well. The budget book provides a budget message which explains some of the assumptions necessary to complete the budgets and a peek at the overall work in preparing this budget. You will also find summaries of all the various funds. Following the summaries you can explore the line by line detail for the revenues and expenditures.
It is our hope this detail will help all interested parties understand the limits of resources and plans to provide the best possible education for all students in our district.
